Do you know what piercing you want but don't know what its called? Are you looking for inspiration for your next body piercing? Here are some examples of body piercings and how they may look on the body. Of course, body piercing is anatomy dependent and therefore even if you have your heart set on a particular piercing it may not actually be possible. For example, some of us have very long tongues and can have multiple tongue piercings and some of us have very short tongues and can't have any tongue piercings! Some of us have very curled ears making cartilage piercing difficult whereas some of us have ears that can accomodate multiple cartilage piercings.
In a nutshell, we're all the same but different !!!!!

Eyebrow Piercing |
Eyebrow Piercing:
Eyebrow piercings are usually done with curved eyebrow bars but a ball closure ring can be used if preferred.
Single or multiple piercings are achievable in this area but if the goal is just for a single piercing, the traditional position for this is at the outer edge of the eyebrow in line with the outside corner of the eye.
Horizontal Eyebrow Surface Piercing:
The horizontal eyebrow surface piercing is a variation on the eyebrow piercing but primarily it is a surface piercing.
Pierced with a surface bar either with plain or jewelled balls for that added sparkle!!
Surface piercings get an awful lot of bad press, but if done correctly by a skilled piercer, with the correct jewellery and correct aftercare followed by the individual they can be a beautiful addition to anyone's body art.

Usually a ball closure ring or circular barbell is worn in this piercing.
Madonna (beauty spot) Piercing:
Becoming an increasingly popular piercing, this piercing is usually done with a labret stud which has a flat back on it so as to reduce risk of damage to teeth.
Initially, the jewellery used for the piercing will be longer to accommodate swelling. Again, jewelled labret studs can also used for a bit of added sparkle. |

Lip Piercing:
Lip piercings are available anywhere along the lip line. They are usually pierced with a ball closure ring but a labret stud can also be used if preferred. However, it is advisable to note that as the initial labret stud will be longer to accommodate swelling it is quite easy to catch on the bottom teeth. |

The labret piercing is not actually on the lip line but below it, just above the chin. Pierced with a labret stud, again initially longer to accommodate swelling. |
